Our journey began in 1991

Our journey began in 1991 with the founding of Meridian Local Transport in the United States, a dedicated family-owned operation focused on providing reliable and efficient local freight delivery services within our community. From those humble beginnings, we recognized the growing needs of businesses for broader logistical support and embarked on a path of strategic expansion and innovation.

By 1995, Meridian Local Transport had successfully extended its reach across key national routes, establishing regional hubs and investing in a larger fleet to meet the demands of inter-city commerce. Our commitment to timely and personalized service laid the foundation for the trust our clients would come to expect.

The dawn of the new millennium in 2000 marked a pivotal moment as we ventured into international logistics, initially facilitating cross-border transportation with our neighboring countries. This expansion required developing expertise in international customs procedures and navigating the complexities of global trade. Even then, the vision of a more integrated and comprehensive logistics solution began to take shape internally, hinting at the future “Aero Alliance.”

A significant leap forward occurred in 2007 through strategic mergers and acquisitions. Meridian Local Transport joined forces with established players in air and sea freight, notably Global Freight Forwarders Ltd. and Pacific Air Cargo, significantly bolstering our global network and diversifying our service offerings. This transformative period led to our rebranding as “Globe Connect Logistics LTD”, better reflecting our expanded scope and aspirations in the global marketplace.

The following years saw continued investment in technology and service enhancement. By 2012, Globe Connect Logistics LTD had implemented advanced tracking systems and warehouse management solutions, providing clients with greater visibility and control over their supply chains. We expanded our value proposition to include warehousing, distribution, and initial supply chain consulting services.

A true game-changer arrived in 2018 with our strategic partnership with Liberty Mutual Business Insurance, a leading provider of commercial insurance. This collaboration was driven by our commitment to providing clients with complete peace of mind. By integrating robust cargo and transit insurance directly into our logistics packages, we streamlined the process and offered a single, reliable solution for both shipping and protection.

Building on the success of this integrated approach, 2020 marked our evolution into Globe Connect Logistics LTD. This rebranding signified our complete commitment to offering a seamless and comprehensive suite of logistics and insurance services. We launched a new digital platform to enhance the client experience, making it easier than ever to obtain quotes, book shipments, and track their progress.

Since then, Globe Connect Logistics has continued to expand its global footprint, establishing strong partnerships and serving new markets. By 2023, we had developed specialized handling capabilities for diverse cargo types, supported by tailored insurance policies, and embraced a commitment to sustainable logistics practices.

By 2019, Globe Connect Logistics stands as a trusted leader in the international logistics and insurance sector.
