Can you explain your shipping terms, like FOB?
- Sea Freight: This is the transportation of goods in shipping containers via ocean-going vessels. It’s a cost-effective method for large or heavy shipments.
- FOB (Free on Board): This is an international trade term. It means the seller is responsible for the goods until they are loaded onto the shipping vessel at the designated port. Once on board, the responsibility for the goods transfers to the buyer.
- Door-to-Door: This is a complete service where we handle the shipment from the seller’s location directly to the buyer’s specified address, including managing customs clearance.
Who is responsible for customs fees and taxes?
The buyer or recipient of the goods is responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and import fees required by the destination country. While we can assist with the customs clearance process, the financial responsibility lies with the client.
How does the AATLS escrow service work?
Our escrow service acts as a secure middle-ground for transactions.
- The Buyer submits payment to our secure escrow account.
- We verify the funds and notify the Seller that it’s safe to ship the goods.
- The Seller ships the goods to the Buyer.
- The Buyer confirms they have received and accepted the goods.
- We release the funds from escrow to the Seller.
What if there's a problem or dispute with an escrow transaction?
AATLS acts as a neutral third party. In the event of a dispute, we encourage both parties to communicate and reach an amicable solution. We will only act on the joint, written instructions of both the buyer and seller or a final order from a court of competent jurisdiction. Our role is to hold the funds securely until the dispute is resolved.
Is my personal and financial information secure with AATLS?
Yes. As detailed in our Privacy Policy, we use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your information. We do not sell your personal data.
